SOPAC for its own purpose and for its Member countries creates and maintains a set of MapInfo? Layers associated with the Geology of the South Pacific.
In each directory you will find an HTML file describing the content of this directory.

In this Directory, you will find a REF directory. This is the SOPAC Map Reference directory that we are using at work to create most of our maps. In this directory you will find the following directories:

- Cruises?: Shiptracks of research cruises
- EEZ?: Exclusive Economic Zones boundaries
- Geol?: Geology features
- Geoid?: Geoid model from NIMA

- MapBasic: An addon to MapInfo? to print Maps
- Names: Names of locations
- Nodules: Poly-Metallic? Nodules

- Spot?: Spot image availability
- Topo: Topographic data of the land and seabed in a raster format.
Origin
We have spent considerable time converting most of the digital maps into MapInfo
? format. We acknowledge the source of these maps as accurately as we can. However, if you consider that the information is incorrect, please contact us.
