PIEPSAP Team
PIEPSAP has commenced its operation on 16 August 2004, the project team is in place at the SOPAC secretariat and consultation with energy sector stakeholders in public and private sectors of PICs have started.
Details of the Project Team are presented below:
 | Gerhard Zieroth, PIEPSAP Project Manager. Gerhard has a masters degree in mechanical engineering specialised in the field of energy planning. He has more than 25 years of experience in energy and power sector planning, energy policy development and energy sector regulation. Gerhard has advised governments, power utilities and multilateral lending agencies on infrastructure policy development and on the design and implementation of energy sector projects involving private developers. He has also been intensively involved in project design, capacity building, training and institutional strengthening. Download Full Curriculum Vitae |
 | Anare Matakiviti, Energy Adviser. Anare graduated with a Master of Engineering in Energy Planning and Policy from the University of Technology (UTS), Australia. He is now in his fourth year at SOPAC. Prior to joining SOPAC in 2000 he worked in the Fiji Islands Government Department of Energy.

 | Yogita Chandra Bhikabhai, PIEPSAP Project Officer. Yogita has currently taken up further studies - Postgraduate Diploma in Governance from USP on part time basis. She has graduated with a Graduate Certificate in Management from Central Queensland University (June, 2004) and a BSC in Physics and Information Systems from USP (2001). She has been at SOPAC since 2002 as Assistant Project Officer assisting in Regional Information Database, technical publications, coordinating regional earth day competitions and other energy projects. Yogita has joined the PIEPSAP Team as of September 6 2004.
