Franck joined SOPAC in 1993. He has extensive experience in development information systems mainly with MS-Access, MS-SQL Server and MapInfo? such as a Nodules Database for the International Seabed Authority in Jamaica or a mineral resource database for Vanuatu. Recently he developed SOPAC network connectivity with the wide use of the Internet in the Pacific. SOPAC now has a web site featuring real-time access to its data warehouse as well as on-line ordering for some of its products. He has also published for a French science news journal in Marseille. He holds a French diplome d’ingénieur (MSc) in general sciences with a specialisation in computing science. He is currently working as the ICT Specialist for the EU funded project EDF8/F9.
