Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Workshop
Background
Asian Development Bank, under its Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Programme (REEP) is funding jointly with the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Co-operation ACP-EU a regional training workshop, to be organised by ADB consultants and SOPAC.The workshop will take place in Nadave, close to Nausori from Monday 20 - 24th of February 2006.
Objectives
To inform technical leaders and policy makers in the Pacific on the current status of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency technologies and to disseminate the results of the Asian Development Bank Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Programme (REEP).
Participants
Workshop participants are expected from Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Fiji.
Arrangements
CATD is an excellent self-contained rural training facility located about 35 km from the Suva urban area. For those persons invited to participate from outside Fiji all living and subsistence expenses will be covered directly by the programme. Persons coming from Fiji will not be charged for attendance unless they wish to be lodged at CATD in which case they will be charged an accommodation fee by CATD.
