2nd Steering Committee Meeting for the Pacific Partnership Initiative on Sustainable Water Management 22 September, Honiara, Solomon Islands

We would like to advise you of the 2nd Steering Committee meeting of the Pacific Partnership Initiative on Sustainable Water Management being held on Friday 22 September in conjunction with SOPAC's 35th Annual Session in Honiara, Solomon Islands from 20-28 September 2006.

The Pacific Partnership Initiative on Sustainable Water Management would like to take this opportunity to evaluate the progress of implementation of the Pacific Regional Action Plan on Sustainable Water Management and identify future opportunities for collaboration between partners.

In addition, we are also pleased to advise that the Inception Meeting for the Sustainable Integrated Water Resources and Wastewater Management Project for Pacific Island countries will also be held from 25-27 September in Honiara as well. This project was jointly developed UNDP, UNEP and SOPAC and funded through the Global Environmental Facility(GEF).
